It’s getting cold out there! ARCHES Project and Capital Park Wesleyan Church, 410 19th Street SE, are partnering this year to bring a warming center to SESNA, and you can help!
There are two types of volunteers: Hosts (church sponsored) and ARCHES volunteers. They have different duties and work different shifts.
A Host Volunteer training is taking place tonight (October 29) at 5:30 pm at the church/community center space, and again at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 30. You can attend either training.
Host Volunteers will work either the 5:45 pm – 9:00 pm or 5:00 am – 8:00 am shift when the center is activated. They will help with facility logistics and focus on setup and check-ins on the evening shift, and check-outs and clean-up support on the morning shift.
Pastor Claude Alley of Capital Park Wesleyan Church can be reached via the church, 503-362-6626, or on his mobile, 307-751-1022.
ARCHES Volunteers will work on a different schedule, with three shifts available. Shifts are 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm, 10:30 pm to 3:30 am, and 3:00 am to 7:30 am. Training and staffing for ARCHES Volunteers is coordinated separately; please contact Kaylinn Gesner or Ashley Hamilton at 503-399-9080.
